Puppies

We only breed every 1-2 years. The whelping box is in our bedroom and the pups are handled several times a day from the day they are born. When the puppies start climbing out of the whelping box, at about 3 1/2 weeks of age, they are transferred to the Puppy House.

The Puppy House is a 10' x 12' insulated building with dutch doors and a doggy door with a 10' x 32' outside run.

You need to start obedience training your puppy as soon as you bring it home. Giants do grow up to be large animals and it is much easier to have a well-mannered dog than one that is unruly. Giants are strong-willed dogs and if you don't assert yourself as the alpha dog, they will be in charge of you.

Giants make wonderful companion dogs. They do however require lots of love and attention. Giants will follow you everywhere and always be by your side. That is why we call them velcro dogs.
